No way! I reside in Ohio and work with many clients in Ohio but also book clients all over the US. It's important that we communicate your time zone, so that we can ensure we have the "correct time" when chatting.
Honestly it depends on what you are looking to book. I would suggest reaching out 6 months to a year in advance. This doesn't mean everything has to be squared away by then, but it allows us more flexibility. I don't want you to stress about your Passport arriving or getting a spot on an excursion. Also, if it's too far in advance, I will jot it down and be in touch when the time is right.
Unfortunately I cannot use your points to secure any getaway for you! I am all for saving money and using your resources to the best that you can. Sometimes I will recommend that you book part of your getaway on your own, with guidance from me to allow you to use points. Doing the right thing is super important to my Enneagram 1 self, so I will always suggest what's best for you!
I no longer book stays within the United States like New York, Connecticut, California, etc. My earlier years of being a travel agent gave me tons of experience dabbling in a variety of destinations. I found my sweet spot - tropical, Hawaii and Alaska. Focusing on those destinations allows me to be more intentional with what I am doing and how I am serving. If you are looking for a fantastic stay in Las Vegas, New York City or D.C., I can recommend some great agent friends who focus on those destinations!
